Bigg Boss 14 challenger Rakhi Sawant, who has rose to fame once again after her stint on the controversial show, opened up about the struggles she had to go through. In an interview, the actress revealed how she was mocked for her looks and shamed for not knowing English properly. Rakhi shared how she was called ugly looking and motormouth. But, the actress mentioned that she took everything with a pinch of salt and did not give up in the end.
Speaking with ETimes, Rakhi Sawant mentioned that she is overwhelmed with the love she has received from the audience after Bigg Boss 14. She said, “I am just crying, I am overwhelmed and I am still not able to believe that I have got so much love again in my life. I have always been disregarded by people.” The actress added, “People would make fun of me, they would pass comments on me, body shame, face shame me. They would make fun of my English and that I can’t speak English. Nobody knows how I’ve survived the difficult times.”
The Bigg Boss 14 challenger continued, “I was called ugly looking, fat, motormouth, gutter mouth. I have taken everything with a pinch of salt and forgiven everyone. I always focused on my work and finally I’ve got all the love.” Rakhi revealed she is unable to digest the love she is receiving. She added, “Everything seems like a dream and when I step out, I get scared if all this love and admiration is true. I get nervous 'ki ab kya comment aayega'... I am confident but I am nervous at the same time. The scenario has changed completely.”
Meanwhile, Rakhi explained how she is still the same ‘Rakhi Sawant’ but mentioned she cannot trust the love she is receiving. She added, “I feel it is a dream when kids, women, girls and boys say they like me, love me.” The actress thanked Bigg Boss 14 and host Salman Khan too. She revealed she is getting good work because of the Dabangg actor and the show. Rakhi shared how people have started recognising her after Bigg Boss 14. She mentioned she is grateful that the fans and paparazzi click pictures of her now while heading out of the gym. The actress revealed she is receiving gifts, and more from fans, and is currently loving this phase of her life.
