The entertainment industry’s one of the biggest entertainer Rakhi Sawant entered the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 14 as a challenger along with Vikas Gupta, Kashmera Shah, Manu Punjabi, and Arshi Khan among others. The 14th season of the reality show concluded on Feb 21 and it saw Rubina Dilaik emerging as the winner while Rahul Vaidya was crowned as first runner up. Along with Rahul and Rubina, Rakhi Sawant and Nikki Tamboli also became the Bigg Boss, 14 finalists. While Rakhi opted out of the finale race by accepting a Rs 14 Lakh bag, Nikki became the 2nd runner-up and the last contestant of the season to get eliminated.

After coming out of the house, Rakhi Sawant gave quite a few interviews where she spoke about her decision of opting out of the finale race. But do you know money was not the only reason for Rakhi to accept the Bigg Boss 14 offer? After Bigg Boss concluded, Rakhi Sawant revealed to a publication that she wanted to lift her career once again and get fame like before. Speaking to Pinkvilla, when Rakhi Sawant was asked what made her say yes to the Bigg Boss, this is what she said.

Rakhi told the portal, “I was shooting for a series in Lucknow aur turant mujhe phone aaya. Maine series chodhke bhaagi Mumbai. Jahan Mujhe phele quarantine kiya. I told makers, agar main agar star banugi toh aapki hi series chalegi.” She further revealed, “Maine soch rakha tha iss baar mujhe jana hai, mera career mujhe uthana hai. Mujhe kuch banna hai. Yahan roti maangne se nahi yahan cheenini padti hai. Bas main gayi aur dhamaka kiya aur logon ka dil jeeta.”


Rakhi had earlier told ETimes, “I am very proud of my journey and I don't regret anything. I don't regret why I did not stay till the end and walked out with Rs 14 lakh. People are telling me that you should have stayed back, you could have emerged as a winner or could also become a runner-up, but I did not want to take a chance.
