SpotboyE.com was the first to tell you that Erica Fernandes has been finalised for the Kasautii Zindagii Kay reboot. She would be essaying the author backed role of Prerna Basu in the much-awaited series. And now we have a proof too. Here is the first picture from the promo shoot of the show, which features Erica. Check it out:
The promo shows Erica dressed exactly like Shweta Tiwari in the original series- black suit and red long duppatta. Looks like Ekta wants to hold on to the essence of the much-popular show.
When Ercia was asked about the casting recently, she had told a section of the media, "Oh no! that's completely not true. Having said that, it's great to know that Kasautii is making a comeback, as it was really nice show. If I sign something, I would break the news myself. Until then, I am just going to travel around the globe and explore."
Clearly, the actress was not wanting to admit it. However, now there is nothing much to hide.
Remake of Kasautii Zindagii Kay created buzz ever since Ekta hinted on her Twitter by writing, “With a piece of my broken heart I wrote in 2001, 17 years later I Reboot it dipping in personal pain & lacing it with experiences of an older me! The show depicted the iconic love story of Prerna (Shweta Tiwari) and Anurag Basu (Cezzane Khan). The lead couple of Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay shared combustible chemistry and continues to be one of the most popular TV jodis of all times.
Erica was last seen in Sony TV's Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi opposite Shaheer Sheikh which ended last year.
After which the actress got busy with her own YouTube channel and travel blogs.
