Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai might soon see a generation leap and several reports suggest that Harshad Chopda might quit, while leading lady Pranali Rathod will stay. 

A source told closed to the development reportedly told Bollywoodlife, "Harshad Chopda is not going anywhere as of now. The makers have no plans for a leap right away. The lives of AbhiRa have been planned till end of 2023. But then, it is a matter of TRPs." 

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai had seen a dip in TRPs and the makers were forced to bring in the separation track. As fans are eagerly waiting for the reunion of Harshad Chopda's Dr Abhimanyu and Akshara (Pranali Rathod) but speculations are on rife that soon a generational leap may happen and this will show Abhir as a grow-up kid. Most of the fans hold the opinion that Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod make a good looking pair on screen and wouldn't like to see a change in the storyline. But we never know, if low TRPs call for it. 

Meanwhile, producer Rajan Shahi clarified that no one is going anywhere and both Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod will continue. Surely a sigh of relief for the show fans! Currently, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai showcases how unhappy is Muskaan towards Akshara as she is moving on in life with Abhimanyu happily.
