Hina Khan Aka Komolika Is Having A Tough Time Disconnecting From Her Character, Akshara

Hina Khan who is playing the iconic character of Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 is doing a comeback in the fiction genre after 2 long years. She became a household name as she played the role of Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai for 8 years. She quit the show in 2016, looking out for different roles.

Hina, who participated in reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss 11 finally made a comeback to acting with Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, where she plays Komolika. Last night, Hina Khan made an entry in the show. You may recall we were the first one to get you all the details about it.

While Hina’s entry was full of drama or should we say Nikaa, here’s some scoop from her first day of the shoot. The actress, while speaking to fans during a social media live chat has revealed how she could not disconnect from her 8-year-long character, Akshara.

"Every actor has to fill the log sheet and mention their in and out time and also state the name of their character. I somehow simply wrote Akshara in the character name column. I completely forgot that I was no longer Akshara and was Komolika now. It was such a nostalgic yet amusing moment for me.

She further elaborated, "I understand why it happened. I have been Akshara for so many years and then I went on a break and did reality shows. So coming back to doing fiction, I wrote Akshara because that was the name I had been living and writing in the character name section for years now, so was just used to it. But the moment I realised that I was Komolika, I immediately corrected it. Surprisingly, it wasn't difficult for me to get back to fiction. I didn't feel at all that I have come onto sets to shoot for a show after good two years. It looked as if I never went on a break at all. Anyway that break was just from fiction as on professional front, I was working from doing reality shows to other things."

Meanwhile, Ekta Kapoor also went live with her new Komolika on Star Plus’ page, where Hina asked Ekta why she chose her to play this character. The TV czarina also revealed the reason why Hina’s character, Komolika was introduced on Oct 29 (Check out the video above).
