Indian Idol 11: Himesh Reshammiya Replaces #MeToo Accused Anu Malik As The Judge

Looks like the makers of Indian Idol Season 11 have found #MeToo accused Anu Malik’s replacement and it’s none other than Himesh Reshammiya. Ever since the show has started, it has been making headlines for bringing Anu Malik on the show as one of the judges on the show. The point was brought to the limelight by singer Sona Mohapatra, who continuously has been asking makers to remove Anu Malik from the judging panel as several #MeToo allegations are leveled against him. It soon happened, when the music composer announced ‘he’s taking a short back and will be back after clearing his name.’

Now, the latest rumours are abuzz that Himesh Reshammiya has been considered to replace Anu Malik. Yes, that’s true!  The singing reality show, which already has Neha Kakkar and Vishal Dadlani as the co-judges will now see the singer and music composer Himesh sharing the panel. However, there’s no official announcement on the same, but we would wait for the makers to make an announcement soon. After Sona Mohapatra, Jag Ghoomiya singer Neha Bhasin too had come forward to accuse Anu Malik of touching her inappropriately at the age of 21. Neha on Twitter had written, “We do live in a very sexist world. Anu Malik is a predator, I too have run away from his strange moves when I was 21. I didn't let myself get into a sticky situation beyond him lying on a sofa in front of me talking about my eyes in a studio. I fleed lying.”

Just a few days back, the show was in the news when Sona, who’s known for her unfiltered opinion, had slammed the channel for using the video of Neha’s kissing incident by a fan for their commercial purposes.
