Even though there’s a complete lockdown in the state due to the novel Coronavirus on the loose, there are some organisations that are still functioning and one of them is the singing reality show, Indian Idol 12. The shoot of the show is intact but everything is done by taking proper precautions. Having said that, we recently stumbled upon a video of Indian Idol 12 contestant Arunita Kanjilal where she was seen rehearsing her act by taking proper precautions amidst the spike in COVID-19 cases.
In the video, Arunita was seen wearing a PPE suit while the other musicians and technicians were also considerate enough to put on their face masks and PPE suit, considering the current crisis situation. For her act, Arunita was heard singing Bhajan, ‘Thumak Chalat Ramchandra’. Fans were extremely impressed with her vocals as they started pouring in love for the contestant. A fan wrote, “In rehersal also she sounds like actual singing....i mean no difference she is the best thing happened to music” while another one said, “Indian idol 12 there are only two top notch singer arunita and pawandeep rajan both are fantastic”
During AR Rahman special episode, Arunita Kanjilal had performed to Tu Hi Re and Kehna Hi Kya in her soulful voice and mightily impressed with her vocals, judge Neha Kakkar went on to say that she wants Arunita to win Indian Idol 12.
