The singing reality show Indian Idol 12 that enjoys a massive fan base came under the scanner recently after the Kishore Kumar special episode. Since singer Amit Kumar criticised the show, Indian Idol 12 has been subjected to severe online criticism. About a few weeks ago, singer Kumar Sanu made an appearance on the show. He praised some contestants regarding their singing too. In an interview now, Kumar Sanu shared his thoughts on singer Amit Kumar’s criticism of the Kishore Kumar special episode on the singing reality show.
Speaking with Peeping Moon, Kumar Sanu reacted to Amit Kumar’s criticising the show. He feels the Amit Kumar did not like the singing when he made an appearance on Indian Idol 12. The singer said, “I think whatever he said was his personal viewpoint because it did not happen to me. Perhaps he did not like singing when he came on the show. The contestants who were singing his father’s song may not have liked Amit Ji. Because Kishore Da’s singing is very different, it isn’t easy to sing like him. I don’t know what happened in Amit Ji’s episode, which I shouldn’t comment about.”
Kumar Sanu also opened up about his experience on Indian Idol 12 as well. Talking about it, the singer shared details on how he was asked to judge the performance of the contestants. He shared, “We were told which contestant would sing which song. After this, they have to judge the performance of the contestants that they sang well and bad. I got it all right.” Kumar Sanu spoke about Amit Kumar further and said, “I don’t know why Amit Ji was not happy with this show. I respect him a lot, so I can’t say anything against him, and at the same time, I can’t agree with his point because I think the contestants must have given their best.”
