The musical reality show had been hitting the headlines for wrong reasons for the last few weeks, and Indian Idol 12 had also been missing from the TRP list since the previous two weeks. However, this week, Indian Idol 12 once again made climbed up the TRP list and claimed the fourth spot. Indian Idol 12 contestants were seen rejoicing and celebrating the 3.2 rating for the Romance Special episode of the show.
Indian Idol 12 contestants came together and celebrated the terrific TRPs for the Romance Special episode. The show has garnered this amazing TRP in its 26th week, and that’s a huge feat! A video on social media shows the contestants such as Shanmukhapriya, Anjali Gaikwad, Pawandeep Rajan, Nihal Tauro, Mohd Danish, Arunita Kanjilal, Ashish Kulkarni, Sawai Bhatt, Sayli Kamble posing with a cake placed on the table in front of them. The video was shared along with the caption, “Romance is definitely in the air. 3.2 rating for the #RomanceSpecial episode on Indian Idol. Super grateful, we couldn't have done it without your love & support. Thank you for tuning into Indian Idol week after week and showing so much love to all our contestants, judges and the show.”

Amit Kumar appeared on Indian Idol 12 as a guest a few weeks ago, and after the episode aired, in an interview with ETimes, Amit Kumar claimed that makers had asked him to praise the contestants irrespective of how they sang.
