Indian Idol 12: Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya Says Amit Kumar’s Controversy Was Blown Out Of Proportion
Kishore Kumar's special episode on Indian Idol 12 created a lot of controversies. Just to give a quick recap, this episode dedicated to the legendary singer was graced by his son Amit Kumar, who as per reports in the media, was asked by the makers to only praise the contestants. Now, this created a lot of stir in the industry, host Aditya Narayan to clear off these claims was seen asking the next guest judge Kumar Sanu if he was forced to praise the contestant.

Now reacting to this whole Amit Kumar controversy is singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya who also appeared on the show as a guest judge. He mentioned the topic was blown out of proportion. While talking to, Abhijeet said there was no controversy and the late singer’s son did not say anything on camera. He also held the print media responsible for spreading this news. He said, "There is no controversy. I spoke to Amit Kumar Ji after the incident. Firstly, he didn't say the statement on camera. It was neither a video nor audio. People trusted what print media told them."

He added, "It was blown out of proportion unnecessarily."

Further, he praised the contestants for taking him back in the 90s with their performances. He said, “They have to present something new every weekend. Every episode has a different theme, songs and they have to mould themselves according to it. They are singing different songs belonging to different genres.
