Karan Oberoi Opens Up About His Relationship With Anveshi Jain
Is Anveshi Jain dating Karan Oberoi? Rumours have been rife that something's cooking between the two. We asked Karan upfront and he did not bat an eyelid. Read what he has to say
Karan Oberoi has had a very tough time, spending more than a month in jail when an astrologer accused him of rape. We had met Oberoi at his Andheri residence soon after he was released and had an EXCLUSIVE chat with him. During the tete-a-tete, we touched upon a recent rumour which has been doing the rounds of the TV industry. There have been loose whispers that Karan Oberoi is dating Anveshi Jain, who was last seen in Ekta Kapoor's Gandi Baat 2 web series.
Maybe the talk emanated after Anveshi was spotted looking extremely despondent and tearful when Karan was sent to jail and also may be due to the fact that she was by his side on quite a few instants in his hour of crisis. But it was better if we heard it from the horse's mouth.
Karan took the question sportingly and said, "I have been mentoring Anveshi in her career. She is my sister Bani's friend. She has stood by me like a rock. She has been a big pillar of strength to me. She came to the court and police station both. She was crying. She is a lovely person. But nope, I am not dating her."
During the same interview, Karan was quite open about why Mona Singh (whom he dated during the days of Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin) and he parted ways. The actor said that Mona wanted to focus on her career, while he wanted marriage soon. Karan also cleared that there was no animosity between Mona and him and that they exchange pleasantries as and when they meet socially.
When contacted, Anveshi too denied that she is dating Karan.
