Super Dancer 3 contestant Saksham who lost his mother in a LPG blast went home sobbing, he was not selected
A reality show with commoners at the root does have its fair share of emotional moments, and the recent episode of Super Dancer 3, was no different. It was gloomy and silent as the sob story of one of the contestants, Saksham Sharma played along in front of the judges (Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Geeta Kapoor, Anurag Basu).
After his dance performance, Shilpa asked him, “Aapke parents kahan hai?” That’s when his father walked up on stage and narrated the disturbing story of his (Saksham) mother’s death. He revealed that when his younger son was 6 months old, his wife died in a gas cylinder blast in the kitchen. He had told her to be careful as the gas was leaking. But, she continued to cook in that condition by saying that it’s been over 15 days, so let it be. Later, when he took the younger one out, the cylinder burst. He ran inside to see his wife lying on the floor unconscious. He picked her up and instantly went to the doctor, but the doctor stated that she is no more. A few minutes and it was all over for them. This left the judges and the audience in tears.

However, the judges had to take the final call. So, Anurag Basu in an emotional tone, took the mic to inform Saksham that sadly, they wouldn’t be able to take him ahead in the dance journey. The stage was literally full of tears, so was the table of the guest’s panel.
We are definitely not debating the decision by the super dancer jury, but our heart is still heavy having seen that episode yesterday.
