Ekta Kapoor to unveil the lead actress' name and release date of the Naagin 6 real soon
Supernatural fantasy thriller, Naagin 6 is one of the most anticipated shows to be backed by Ekta Kapoor. As per the ace producer’s latest update, she will be soon announcing the release date and the lead of the sixth season. As per reports in Bollywoodlife.com, the production banner has auditioned 55 actresses which include some well known as well as new faces to take the show franchisee ahead. But Ekta Kapoor is yet to finalise on the actress, revealed her latest Instagram post.
Also one of the reasons for the show to be put on the backburner is Ekta testing positive for COVID-19, resulting in slowing down of the pre-production process. In her post she refuted the rumours of the finalizing an actress, in fact she asked the netizens to suggest her an apt name for Naagin 6’s lead. Her Instagram caption read, “Just recovered from COVID but amdist bad muscle spasm and stomach infection heard some names who are ‘confirmed'. Arey bhai, behn no names are even approached or approved! Your suggestions guys!”
Also, the 6th season is expected to have the Naagin with more superpowers as compared to the previous season, thus taking the entertainment quotient a notch higher. It is also reported the show will have multiple leads in order to keep the audience glued to the show.
The Naagin TV show began with Mouni Roy turning the shape-shifting serpent for season 1 & 2, then Surbhi Jyoti took the franchise ahead by featuring in the 3rd season. It was followed by Nia Sharma in the 4th season and Surbhi Chandna stepped into the lead role for the 5th season.
