Shehnaaz Gill, who rose to fame with her stint in Bigg Boss 13, has spoken about her journey in the industry and the difficulties she faced. In a recent interview, the actress poured her heart out and recalled the time she had run away from her house to pursue her career in acting. Shehnaaz revealed that her family did not support her when she told them she wants to be an actress and thus she decided to run away.
The Honsla Rakh actress lived in a PG in Chandigarh during her struggling days and used to earn Rs. 15 thousand. While speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Gill stated that she was 19-20 years old when she ran away from her house and started living in a PG. She revealed that she gave a lot of auditions until Punjabi movies happened to her.
“I used to get calls from my family members but I used to block them and tell myself that until I don’t become something in life I won’t talk to them and they can wait. Finally, that wait paid off and today they are extremely proud of me and my achievements,” Shehnaaz was quoted as saying. In the same interview, the 28-year-old actress also spoke about getting trolled for making a song about the late actor Sidharth Shukla. Shehnaaz explained that she remained affected by trolls as she knew they were 'useless and emotionless' people.
Meanwhile, Shehnaaz is now gearing up for her highly-awaited Bollywood debut with Salman Khan’s upcoming film ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali.’ She had recently dismissed the rumours of her opting out of the film, calling them her “daily dose of entertainment. She clarified that she is very much a part of the movie.
Shehnaaz became a popular household name and shot to instant fame after she appeared on Salman Khan’s show Bigg Boss 13. The Sultan actor also gave her the name ‘Punjab Ki Katrina Kaif' and it has now become synonymous with Gill.
