There were reports floating in the media suggesting that Naagin 3 actor Pearl V Puri got arrested after he allegedly raped a minor. However, SpotboyE confirmed the news saying that Pearl V Puri got arrested by the Vasai Police. Confirming the news to us, Mumbai Police's DCP Abhishek Trimukhe said, ‘He has been arrested by Waliv Police Station (Vasai)’ but refrained from divulging more details about the case. Puri was reportedly arrested last night. After the news started making headlines, his Naagin 3 co-star Anita Hassanandani shared a post with the actor and called it ‘nonsensical news’. Now, actors Krystle Dsouza and Shalin Bhanot took to their social media account to stand in solidarity with the actor.
They dismissed such reports and assured that the truth will prevail. Bhanot who was in Naagin said that he is surprised to hear ‘all sorts of crappie news about him’. He said that he has faith in Pearl and that everything is going to be fine. “Hearing all sorts of crappie news about @pearlvpuri .. I know him very well.. we all know him, he is such a lovely boy. He cannot do wrong. I am so surprised how can a persons Achievements and stardom become his nightmare. Its So unfair. I am with Pearl. Pearl I love you bro. All will get fine. #truthwillprevail #ihavefaith,” he wrote on Instagram.
Krystle too took to her Twitter handle and shared a post on Pearl urging fans not to draw any conclusions on ‘baseless allegations’. She tweeted, “While I know @pearlvpuri and he is one of the nicest boys I’ve met in our tv industry. A thorough gentleman. Please don’t jump to conclusions on baseless allegations. #istandwithpearl #PearlVPuri”
Meanwhile, reportedly, Pearl V Puri has been booked under Sections 376 AB (Punishment for rape on woman under 12 years of age) of the Indian Penal Code, under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
