Rakhi Sawant has been making waves for her recent visit to Mecca and a slew of videos and pictures have been going viral on the internet. Nevertheless, Rakhi’s recent visit at the holy place has sparked a rather mixed reaction from the netizens and she is facing brutal backlash for the same.
In one of the videos that has surfaced on the internet, burqa-clad Rakhi Sawant was constantly mentioning Salman Khan and even urged him to do Umrah. In the now-viral video, Rakhi can be seen saying "Salman Bhai aap Umrah karo, mai jannat ke darwaaze ke baahar khadi hoon". Well, Rakhi has apparently disgusted netizens with her antics and many were irked by the fact that she relentlessly made videos offering prayers. Some schooled the former Bigg Boss contestant and claimed that she is trying to gain publicity rather than finding peace as she has visited the holy place.
A section of users even questioned how Rakhi could be allowed to make such videos at the holy place.
Reacting to the video, one user wrote, “She is just making fun of both the religion.” Another questioned, “Yeh Salman k liye gai thi ya Apne liye over acting ki dukaan.” A third wrote, “Isne sare dharmo Ka majak Bana Rakha hai .Salman Khan Ko iss par case kar Dena chahiye.” A fourth user simply added, “Shameful! 🥱🥱🥱” A fifth user wrote, “Salman ke naam pe.. Apni publicity karti hai ye.”
Interestingly, Rakhi returned from her holy visit to Mecca on Thursday, August 31, 2023, and she received a grand-floral welcome at the Mumbai airport.
While the former television queen made her way out of the gate, she asked the paparazzi gathered around her to address her as Fatima. Refusing to be called as Rakhi, the actress asked the people to address her as Fatima, as she got it renamed after her marriage with Adil Durrani.
