Saath Nibhaana Saathiya Soars, But Brahmarakshas Slips
Week 34 (between August 20 and 26) threw up some unexpected results in the ratings race. During Week 33, Zee TV’s Brahmarakshas -- Jaag Utha Shaitaan was in 2nd position, thus cementing the notion that supernatural tracks can never go wrong with the audiences. However, the latest charts reveal that the thriller has been relegated to the 7th position.
Week 34 (between August 20 and 26) threw up some unexpected results in the ratings race. During Week 33, Zee TV’s Brahmarakshas -- Jaag Utha Shaitaan was in 2nd position, thus cementing the notion that supernatural tracks can never go wrong with the audiences.
However, the latest charts reveal that the thriller has been relegated to the 7th position.
If the latest ratings are anything to go by, looks like family dramas are once again a hot favourite with the audience. While Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya has retained its top position, Star Plus Show Saath Nibhaana Saathiya has been catapulted to Rank No: 2. For those who don’t remember, Saathiya had secured only the 9th position last time.
Sony’s The Kapil Sharma Show hasn’t moved up or down and is stable in the 3rd position.
Another unexpected poor performer this time around is Star Plus reality show Dance + 2. While the show was among the top 5 last week (Rank No: 4), it does not even feature among the top 10 this time. Dance + 2 is now the 11th ranker.
Colors show Kavach — Kali Shaktiyon Se, which was in the 10th position last week, has been pushed down further. It’s now in 14th position, another indication that Indian audiences may be getting tired of supernatural elements.
