Shaleen Bhanot Walks Free, Court Clears Domestic Violence Charges
The Bombay High Court has cleared TV actor Shaleen Bhanot of all the charges levied against him by ex-wife Daljeet Kaur, including an alleged attempt to murder her
Actor Shaleen Bhanot is finally a free man.The Bombay High Court has given him a clean chit against all charges levied against him by ex-wife,TV actress Daljeet Kaur, including dowry harassment, attempt to murder and domestic violence.
The couple had
filed for divorce at the Bandra Family Court in July this year (Daljeet
Kaur-Shaleen Bhanot will file for divorce on Monday, July 23).
A bitter divorce
battle started soon but Shaleen and his family are finally free of all the
charges filed against them. And the actor is ready for a fresh start, one where
he focuses on work and his young son.
A leading daily
quoted the actor saying, “The first few months after Daljeet accused me of
beating her up were unbearable — I stopped going out. But now, I am happy that
the court has dropped all the charges.”
Their son, named
Jaydon, currently stays with his mother and will continue to do so with Shaleen
granted visitation rights.
"I
want a balanced childhood for my son. He should get both his parents' love and
so, for his well-being, I will always be cordial with Daljeet,” added the
actor.
After the end of
the court battle, Shaleen tweeted:
With the bitter legal battle behind him, Shaleen
has taken off to Australia with his family for a vacation.
