Shark Tank India 2 Finale: Judge Vineeta Singh Pitched Her Brand SUGAR Cosmetics Alongside Husband Kaushik Mukherjee, Gets A Deal Worth 5 Crores
In the season finale of the show, entrepreneur Vineeta Singh took to the Shark Tank India stage to pitch her brand SUGAR Cosmetics to the fellow sharks
With Shark Tank India season 2 in its finale week, last night’s episode saw a twist when judge Vineeta Singh took to the stage and pitched her brand SUGAR Cosmetics to her fellow sharks. The entrepreneur and her husband Kaushik Mukherjee became pitchers as they spoke about the tough time their business has been facing for the past 10 years. However, at the end of the deal they manage to get a dream deal of Rs 5 crores from all the sharks.
Vineeta’s pitch was the last one in the episode. She pitched her brand SUGAR Cosmetics to her fellow judges. While presenting her brand, Peyush Bansal jokes about not expecting any mercy from them, which leaves all the sharks giggling. They ask for Rs 1 crore for 2 per cent equity. Talking about the brand, Kaushik goes on to reveal that they were initially going to name the brand ‘kickass cosmetics’, but later settled on SUGAR Cosmetics. The entrepreneur gets emotional as she revealed that post 2013, they weren’t able to bring in any investments. Anupam Mital praises them for continuing to bring in profits despite facing difficulties over the years. The sharks in a joint deal offer Vineeta a Rs 5 crore for 5 per cent, which she accepts. Hosted by Rahul Dua, the second season of Shark Tank India, sees Anupam Mittal (Founder and CEO of Shaadi.com), Aman Gupta (Co-Founder and CMO of boat), Namita Thapar (Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Vineeta Singh (Co-Founder and CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics), Peyush Bansal (Founder & CEO of Lenskart.com) and Amit Jain (Co-Founder of CarDekho) as the sharks. The reality show was launched in January 2023.
