Actresses Dolly Sohi and Amandeep Sohi passed away hours apart as they were being treated at the same hospital
Television actresses and sisters Amandeep Sohi and Dolly Sohi have left for their heavenly abode. They passed away hours apart as they were admitted to the same hospital for their respective treatments. It was earlier reported that Dolly was undergoing treatments for cervical cancer. As reported by the Free Press Journal, the former breathed her last in the late hours of Thursday and her sister passed away in the early hours of Friday.
According to the reports by the FPJ, Amandeep was suffering from jaundice and was admitted to the hospital for quite some time now. In a statement released by the Sohi family, Dolly was undergoing chemotherapy at the same hospital. While the Jhanak actress’ condition was stable after Amandeep’s demise, her health deteriorated during the night. She breathed her last at 4 am on Friday. A part of their statement read, “Our beloved Dolly has left for her heavenly abode today early morning. We are in a state of shock with the loss. It was in December 2023 when Dolly shared a photo with Amandeep on her official social media handle. She had captioned the photo, “Sisters make the best friends in the world 🥰🥰.”
Ever since Sohi has opened up about being diagnosed with cervical cancer, fans had diligently taken to social media to motivate her and share their well wishes. On February 20, 2024, Sohi took to Instagram to share an Instagram post that read, “Prayers The world's greatest wireless connection.. Works like miracle so please I need your prayers.”
On the work front, last seen in Jhanak as Srishti Mukherjee, Dolly Sohi was replaced by Poorva Gokhale. She has also starred in shows like Bhabhi, Kalash, Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, and Khoob Ladi Mardaani Jhansi Ki Rani. On the other hand, Amandeep Sohi was known for her role in Pearl V Puri and Asmita Sood starrer Badtameez Dil.
