Sitaron Ke Liye Vish, Not Amrit: After Falaq Naaz And Shakti Anand, Is It Curtains For Adaa Khan?
Proving To Be Vish, Not Amrit! That's exactly what's happening to the sitare in Vish Ya Amrit: Sitara. After Shakti Anand and Falaq Naaz, it might soon be Adaa Khan. And mind you, she has been informed
After Shakti Anand and Falaq Naaz, its main lead Adaa Khan who might exit the show Vish Ya Amrit: Sitara, aired on Colors. Buzz is strong that the production house is auditioning for a new face to step into Adaa's shoes. Adaa, who is currently portraying the character of Sitara, might make an exit, soon.
The supernatural series in question starring famous actors like Adaa Khan, Arhaan Behll, Shilpa Saklani and Vaishali Thakkar in pivotal roles has failed to impress the audience in terms of TRPs and may even go off air soon. But as a last-ditch effort, the makers (Rashmi Sharma Telefilms) have planned to give a 360-degree turn to the storyline in which Adaa who's playing the central character of Sitara Shekhawat will be sent into coma for 2 months. And then the story will revolve around the latest entry. However, more details on the change in track are still in script stages.
A source close to the show has told us " The channel is contemplating if the show should be withdrawn as the ratings are quite poor. Adaa has been informed and frankly she is also looking for a getaway."
Few days back, Shakti Anand and Falaq Naaz from the same show were replaced overnight. Fuming in anger on the matter, Shakti had told a leading daily, " I was shocked when I learnt about my death sequence on the show. My director, who wasn’t aware of it either, actually thought that it was a dream sequence. I totally understand that it’s the makers’ prerogative to treat a character in a way they want to, but all they needed was to inform me of my exit in advance. I don’t wish to blame anyone, but it definitely leaves a bad taste in the mouth. How can an actor be treated in this manner? You can give me a double role, triple role or even kill me, but not like this. I guess sometimes you just write a character, but fail to justify it.”
Falaq had said, "Why is an actor expected to inform the makers in advance when they want to quit a project, while producers can axe any character overnight without prior intimation? All I expect as an artiste is to be informed about my exit in advance. I learnt about my exit a day before I shot the last scene, but no one from the team told me about it. Even today, I am waiting for the creative team to get in touch with me.”
“I understand that it could be the demand of the story, but at least inform the artiste. After seeing my fate, my co-actors are also worried if they will also be treated in a similar fashion. This is the first time I have faced something like this in my career. This has instilled fear in me for the future.”
Coming back to Adaa Khan, we texted her but doesn't seem that she was in a mood to respond.
