Sudhanshu Pandey Shocked Over The Rape Allegations Against Karan Oberoi
Former Band of Boys member Sudhanshu Pandey has lent his reaction on rape charges levied against Karan Oberoi
Karan Oberoi is in trouble ever since a female astrologer filed a complaint against the actor accusing him of raping and extorting money from her. After the Oshiwara Police filed an FIR against Karan under Section 376 (rape) and 384 (extortion) of the Indian Penal Code, the actor was produced in court on May 6 and will remain in police custody till May 9.
Amidst all of this happening, his family members and close friends have come up in support of the actor. One amongst them happens to be good-friend and former Band of Boys member, Sudhanshu Pandey. Talking to IANS, the singer said, “I've known Karan Oberoi for almost two decades now. We were together in a band, but before that we're working together as actors. We're not just friends but we were neighbours at one point of time as well. I know his family very well. His father was a decorated retired Army officer and was a Brigadier and war hero. His sister is a working professional here, his brother lives overseas. Karan himself was in Merchant Navy before he got into this profession.”
He added, "Karan has lived a disciplined lifestyle. He goes to bed at 9 p.m. and wakes up around 7 a.m. He doesn't smoke or drink and never parties. We have seen Karan over the years, and we know, he would never do this... the kind of allegation has been put on him. We do not believe them, and among us, Karan was the most chivalrous. He further stated that he has never seen him talking to girls in a "loud voice or ever mistreated someone".
Earlier, Pooja Bedi had also expressed her angst on Twitter and even to SpotboyE.com. She had said, “I’m so upset that pro women laws can subject a decent innocent man to so much of trauma. I’ve been visiting him every day. He’s in shock. And it’s deeply distressful that any woman can just walk into a police station without any real evidence and make such claims and shame a man.”
SpotboyE.com had even contacted his friend Sonali Singh who said, "He was disturbed. He told me a girl was harassing him to the core.” And then, last evening, Karan's sister Vani got emotional in an exclusive chat with us wherein she stated that her brother had been framed.
