Television actor Sachin Sharma, who has featured in shows like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and CID recently tested positive for COVID-19. Other than the actor, his entire family, including his parents and two sisters have been also infected with the virus. During the pandemic, Sharma had relocated back to Delhi to stay with his family. In an interview, the actor opened up about the ‘toughest’ initial first days after his family tested positive for COVID-19. The Tu Aashiqui actor shared gruesome facts.

Speaking with ETimes, Sachin Sharma revealed that his father was the first one in the family to contract the virus. He mentioned that his father developed a cough and fever. Sachin shared that after his father, within 48 hours everyone else in his family suffered a high fever. Talking about the ‘toughest’ initial days, Sharma shared, “The initial 3 to 4 days were toughest, everyone had a high fever. To see your loved ones ill at the same time, it is emotionally difficult. The Covid tests are taking 48 to 72 hours and in some testing labs even more.”

The actor continued to talk about the unavailability of medicines prescribed for COVID-19 positive patients. He added, “A lot of medicines prescribed are unavailable in the market. Worst they are being sold in the black market for triple the price, so one has to be careful. Managing home-made food and being optimistic, during this time is the toughest task." Sachin then thanked God and mentioned that his parents are fine and recovering. He mentioned everyone will take around 15 days to recover from the virus.
The Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii actor then went on to share some advice for everyone out there. He said that people should be prepared during the ongoing second wave of the pandemic. Sachin Sharma said, "Everyone should have a plan of action in case their family is hit by Covid-19. This includes food, medicine and doctors to consult.” Meanwhile, Sachin Sharma mentioned that certain medical devices like oximeter, oxygen cylinder is a must-have in every home, in case of emergency.
