talking to Bombay Times, Abhay Vakil said, “I was a witness to their first
meeting in the US. They hit it off instantly and fell in love over a period of
two years. The families wanted to take the relationship forward and they
decided on Istanbul as the venue, as Melis hails from there. It was unplanned
and we, too, were informed just four days prior. It came as a shock to me as
well.” The wedding will reportedly take place sometime next year.

Interestingly, Vipul
was in a stable relationship with Yuvika Choudhary for almost 10 years before
parting their ways. A few months back, Vipul expressed his opinion on being
friends with Yuvika and having a cup of coffee with her. The actor had
said, “I don’t believe in asking my
ex-girlfriend out for a coffee. What’s over is over and it’s better left
behind. I don’t want to prove to anyone that I am great friends with my ex and
I am cool about it. Yuvika was a great friend, someone who I could depend on in
those early days. The girl is getting married and she deserves all the
