Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame Kanchi Singh tested positive for COVID-19 in the first week of April 2021. The actress made a post on her Instagram stories and informed fans and followers about her health. Kanchi was in Bhopal, shooting for her Bollywood film Shukr-Dosh when she contracted the virus. As the actress is now on the road to recovery, she opened up about her battle with the deadly virus. Kanchi Singh also shared her further plans.
Speaking with Hindustan Times, Kanchi revealed she is taking all types of ‘kadha’ to ensure her journey back to being healthy is going smooth. She also said that dealing with it is “not that bad”. The actress said, “Jitna logon ne banake ke rakha hai ke ‘covid hai, covid hai’, itna nahi hai. People are making it so big ke ‘oh shit, covid-19 ho gaya hai’. It is bad that it is spreading but people who have got the virus should remain calm.”
The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame mentioned that she will not take a break after she recovers. She said she will not stop wearing a mask when she is on the set and take more precautions. Kanchi said, “I will not take a break after I recover. I will be taking more precautions like I will not stop wearing the masks when I am on the set.” The actress continued, “Earlier, when I was on my set, I didn’t wear the mask. Now, I will be more careful.”
Kanchi Singh also revealed that her parents have tested positive for COVID-19 as well. She mentioned that her family is taking necessary precautions. And, the actress added they have isolated themselves completely. Meanwhile, Kanchi Singh had taken a break from the shooting of her debut film in Bhopal.
