Thursday is a day when top bosses of production houses and channels come to office extremely tense. This time was no exception. Well, they might have been relieved to see the same 10 shows (first glance) occupy the coveted list of FIRST TEN but surely not very happy if shows from their stable have moved down the ladder- Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (SAB TV) and Tujhse Hai Raabta (Zee TV) were at least two such. The former (at 8 now) dropped by 1 position, while the latter by 2 (at 9 now). Super Dancer Season 3 also suffered- 4 in the list that came last week, 3 now.
Questions to be asked: Did the loyalists Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah reduce in number after they heard that Dayaben is confirmed out from the show? Do they not like Hathi, Bhede, Babita and Jethalal? Or, are they furious with Mr Dayaben (Mayur Padia) for playing the villain in Dayaben's exit? More questions to be asked: Is Zee feeling too pinched by Tujhse Hai Raabta, after their latest film Manikarnika has also started to go downhill in collections? Hasn't Tujhse Hai Raabta been not marketed well?
More observations and deductions . Alarm bells are also ringing, maybe not loudly, for Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala and Nimki Mukhiya. These two shows were often in the Top 10 in their early days but are now at 11 and 16 respectively. Ishq Subhan Allah (at 12) has also slipped.
The biggest surprise is the drop in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. It has gone below Shakti-EHsaas Ki and finds itself on 14! Clearly, Hina Khan has a lot of work to do. Maybe the Erica-Parth wedding does some trick.
What remains stagnant is Kundali Bhagya (at 6) and Kumkum Bhagya (at 10).
Now for the praiseworthy jump. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has shot up from 5 to 3. And the winner is Rohit Shetty hosted Khatron Ke Khiladi 9. After Simmba, Shetty has unarguably become a big public figure.
