WOAH! The Kapil Sharma Show Is At No.5, Regains Lost Glory
Your weekly dope on the ongoing TV shows. After failing to make it to Top 10 in Week 21 (May 19-25) despite increasing impressions, The Kapil Sharma Show finally finds a place in the list
It’s good news for Kapil Sharma loyalists. The Kapil Sharma Show, which has been fluctuating for the past couple of weeks as far as its performance is concerned gathered momentum in Week 22 (May 26- June 1). So much so that it clinched the No. 5 spot.
You may recall that the show made a grand comeback in Week 20 and stood at No 7 (May 12-18) only to disappear in the following week.
The result will undoubtedly give the broadcaster Sony a reason to smile as it has been facing the brunt of the falling TRPs of The Kapil Sharma Show. However, at the moment, its position with respect to other GECs remains unchanged. It still ranks 5 among them with Star Plus leading the pack. So still, a lot of work to be done.
Cricketers Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan and Hardik Pandya made an appearance on the show on Saturday (May 27), while Mahesh Manjrekar came in with Medha Manjrekar to promote their Marathi film Friendship Unlimited on Sunday (May 28).

Furthermore, Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin 2 showcased an improved performance as well. It went from No. 5 in Week 21 (May 19-25) to No. 3 in Week 22. This doesn’t come as a surprise considering the Queen of Soaps is well-known to spice up serials which seem to have plateaued.

Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya and Star Plus’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai were the top two shows. Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs retained its position (at no 4). You may notice that this reality show has performed consistently well and refuses to give up the slot.

Rubina Dilaik and Vivian Dsena-starrer Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki had a dismal week, yet again. The show stayed put at No. 8.
