Vishal Aditya's statements in his interviews, especially the one with us a couple of days back, about his ex-girlfriend and current Nach Baliye 9 partner Madhurima Tuli have raised many eyebrows. Madhurima has not spoken about him at length yet. The time was right yesterday to reach out to her and have a word about this man.

Madhurima took every question very calmly. Excerpts from the interview:

What's going on between you and your ex Vishal Aditya in Nach Baliye 9? So much friction!
I would ideally not say anything.

Yeah, but I found some of his remarks quite derogatory...

Like, you have a very bad temper...
He is behaving as if he doesn't have a temper. In fact, I haven't reacted until now much and doesn't that imply that he has a temper which is worse than mine?

Does he have temper issues?
Of course, he does. Look at how he reacted on Episode 1.

What does he mean by saying 'you go off-tangent'?
He feels that whatever he says is right and he need not listen to what I am saying. If you want to be with me, then you ought to change. You can't say 'I still loved her but don't love her anymore'. I am trying to identify the point that we have our issue on but he is not ready to understand my perspective.

Aren't you then saying that you are ready to reunite with him provided he changes for the better?
The way he has behaved till now in Nach Baliye 9, do you really think that I should go back to him? If I do, I will land up in a trauma. I will go into a depression.


But you had kept a small window open for reconciliation when Nach Baliye 9 began? 
I had. I felt for him till then. But not anymore. I don't think I can get back with him ever.

He has said that 'he loved you but not anymore'. So you're now saying that the same applies to you as well...
Absolutely.


What was your mom's reaction?
She was shocked and even cried a lot when she saw the first episode. But now that I have gone for it, I might as well go ahead.

Will you work with him in future ever?
Nahin, mushkil hai.

He says that the channel (Star Plus) kept coming to him 7-8 times and he was not really interested...
Yeah, I read that.


Doesn't that portray that he's saying that the channel was desperate to cast him and you too wanted to be opposite him...
Yes, it does. But that's Vishal Aditya. He has always been like that 'main hi main hoon'. Other people don't matter to him.

Was he always like that?
Not in our early days, but he changed later. But good that I know him so well, finally.


The small window which you had left open, is now closed?
Yeah.


But tell us, what had gone wrong between you and him that led you'll to part ways?
The thing is that he cannot take responsibility. If you tell your girlfriend that you will marry thrice in life, won't she be put off? You shouldn't say such things and yet keep going back to her.

Yes, he told me that he wants to marry thrice.

How can a man think like that?
Exactly.


If I was in your place, I would've dumped him that very day...
I know, but woh kehte hain, pyaar mein andhe ho jaate hain.

And then?
We started having our fights. Those fights became aggressive. We started fighting in public places when we were tipsy and it all started creating scenes.

So, how do you rate your chances of winning Nach Baliye 9?
Difficult, but we can still pull it off provided if we become friends. If Vishal Aditya does not reform, well... You see, you need to have a certain chemistry when you dance together especially when you do romantic steps. That chemistry can come only if there is an emotional connect. If two people have to work well, they have to feed on each other's energies. 

It began smoothly, then went downhill- but now it's again better. Let's see how it goes.

If not you and Vishal Aditya, who do you think can win?
I want us to win no doubt. Babita and Vivek are fab, Yuvika and Prince are good, Aly and Natasha have been fantastic. As I said, let's see how it goes.
