Nach Baliye 9 Contestant Anita Hassanandani: “I Would Have Definitely Not Participated With My Ex-Lover”
Ahead of Nach Baliye 9, we caught up with Anita Hassanandani who will be seen participating on the dance reality show with her better half, Rohit Reddy
Naagin 3 actress Anita Hassanandani will be grooving along with her better half Rohit Reddy in the upcoming season of Nach Baliye. Recently, we caught up with the actress to know when she decided to be a part of the show. Would she have participated with her ex-flame as per the concept? Read on to know what she had to say:
You have been offered Nach Baliye many times before. What made you say yes this time?
Well, Nach Baliye 9 has all the flavours as not only current but even ex-jodis are participating. Almost every year they approached me and I used to be in talks but things didn't work out. I feel there is a time for everything and I think this was the time. Naagin 3 just got wrapped up and a show like this, requires lots of time and focus. And currently, I do have the time and focus. It really took a long time to convince my baliye to do it. But finally, he said yes and I am happy.
How did you convince your husband Rohit to participate in the show?
I have always been wanting to do a show like this. He noticed it and then he was like okay fine. Although he had a lot of work, but then too he said ‘you really want to do this show, so I can at least give you 3 months’ (laughes). So, he is right here beside me supporting me.
We heard you have been rehearsing for 14 hours a day. Is it true?
Everyday it’s different, mostly it’s fun that you are learning something new. But definitely, the stress the pressure is also there. 'Oh my God yeh nahi ho raha' to ‘yeh sab toh hota hi rehta hai’. But yeah, we are taking it in our stride and really enjoying it.
What do you think about the concept of bringing ex-jodis together this time?
This season is really different and the twist which they have planned to convince and get ex lovers together is amazing. I’m very excited to see these jodis performing.
Would you have agreed to participate with your ex-baliye?
No, I don't think so I would have been comfortable as of today. But you know, our thinking keeps changing so probably, if they would have asked me 6 years later, I would have said yes. But as of today, definitely not.
Salman Khan is producing the show, so will we get to see his added flavour?
One of the main reasons of saying yes this year was Salman Khan. I was really happy to know that he did make an appearance in the first episode and it has put me on a different and happy high to watch him. So yes, I am sure that the audience is going to just love him.
Are you a part of Naagin 4?
I swear I don't know. But I would love to do it because it was amazing to portray Vishakha’s look and everything. If I do get an opportunity, I would love to be in Naagin 4. But till now, no discussions have happened, so have nothing to comment.
We hear Hina Khan will be the Naagin this time…
I am clueless.
Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya were the winners of Season 8. Are you taking any tips from them?
Ab tak to zaroorat nahi padi hai because right now, it is about giving your 100 percent in practising. However, I know eventually tips ki zaroorat padegi, so she is a friend and just a phone call away. If I will require any help, I will definitely call her.
