‘Govinda Was Attacked At 4 AM’: Manager Reveals Actor Received Death Threats, Dismisses Criminal Intent Rumours

Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, has publicly addressed recent reports about an alleged early-morning attack on the veteran Bollywood star, strongly rejecting claims that the actor had any criminal intent or wrongdoing in the situation. According to Sinha, Govinda has been receiving multiple death threats and experienced a frightening incident at his own home in the early hours, although the manager clarified it was an episode from earlier, not something that just happened.

Speaking to ANI, Sinha described the unsettling moment, saying Govinda was able to protect himself when the situation escalated. He recounted that the actor had a gun with him at the time and “chased everyone away”, adding that without the weapon, things might have taken a far more serious turn. Sinha also mentioned rushing to Govinda around 4 AM, filing an FIR with the police, and securing video footage of what transpired that night. He didn’t go into further specifics about the identity or motive of the people involved, but confirmed that the actor did sustain an injury while defending himself.

Sinha also spoke about a separate, earlier incident from October 2024, when Govinda accidentally shot himself in the leg while cleaning his licensed revolver at his Mumbai residence. At that time, police stated the firearm misfired as the actor was placing it in a cupboard as he prepared to leave for the airport, and no foul play was suspected.

In addition, Sinha dismissed social media rumours claiming Govinda is facing financial hardship. He called the suggestions that the actor is bankrupt or begging around baseless, explaining that Govinda owns multiple cars and that performing at schools or private events is simply part of his profession.
