Without a doubt, a lot was at stake at FIFA World Cup 2022 which was hosted in Qatar. While many are currently celebrating Argentina’s win against France, one particular gentleman - Drake, doesn’t seem to be happy with the circumstances he is currently reeling in. The Canadian rapper lost $1 million on Sunday despite betting on Argentina, who eventually emerged victorious at the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. 

Drake is known to be a bit of a jinx for the squad with which he sides in wagers, reported Marca.

Despite choosing to bet on the Argentinian side to become the new champion, Drake seems to have lost his bet, He would have won in regulation for the artist to collect $2.75 million after placing his wager in the 1X2 market.


Argentina won in a penalty shootout after extra time and regulation, meaning the official score is considered a draw, making Drake a loser.

Recently, the 36-year-old lost $1.5 million when he bet on Israel Adesanya to defeat Alex Pereira in a UFC middleweight title fight. This fueled the myth that ‘he curses whom he selects’. He is also known to play roulette on Stake and he won $17 million on the live table, according to Casino.

Later, Drake’s reputation for being a bad gambler was debunked by Stake and Casino, who proved he has more wins than losses.

"Take away the $29.61 million in losses, and Drake is heading into the new year with more than $46.81 million in profits," Casino reported.
