Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s daughter-in-law Shloka Mehta is known for her impeccable fashion sense. Be it any occasion, she never fails to hog the limelight with her sartorial choices. Recently, Shloka’s new set of photos from an auction event in 2019 had gone viral on social media. The fashionista looked drop-dead gorgeous in a shimmery black gown dress posing with her husband Akash Ambani. It was her unique purse- decorated with colourful crystals that took everyone’s utmost attention.
As per reports, in December 2019 Shloka had attended Isha Ambani Piramal's auction event which was organized to help interior designer Rooshad Shroff to raise funds for a girls' school in Jaisalmer. At the event, Nita Ambani’s daughter-in-law carried a purse from the brand Judith Leiber and the bag was inspired from the 90s boom boxes. The cost of this Boombox Brooklyn Mookie purse was whopping USD 5,995 i.e Indian currency Rs. 4, 57,091. That was huge. Back then, the photos of Shloka Mehta holding this lavish purse went viral. In fact, several netizens had taken a dig at Shloka for spending a huge amount on the bag. One nasty troll had written, “Paise ki barbaadi.” Not just purse, even Shloka’s shimmery black jumpsuit was from the designer label, Elie Saab's collection, and was quite expensive.
For the unversed, Shloka Mehta and Akash Ambani were childhood sweethearts and have known each other since their childhood days. Both got married on March 9, 2019 in a grand and star-studded ceremony at the Jio World Centre in Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai. Shloka and Akash welcomed their first child, son Prithvi on December 20, 2020.
