Nick Jonas REACTS To Being Called ‘Jiju’ And Ae Nickwa’ By Indian Paps At NMACC Launch Event; Singer Says, 'Great To Hear The Nicknames'

Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her singer husband Nick Jonas along with their daughter recently visited India and made heads turn at the grand opening ceremony of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center (NMACC). The launch event was held in April this year and it was a star-studded and glitzy affair with prominent people gracing the launch. Nick-Priyanka happily posed together for the paparazzi on the red carpet. And, while they were posing, the excited Indian paparazzi was heard addressing Nick by nicknames like 'Jiju' and Ae Nickwa’. Now, Nick in a recent interview has talked about paps giving him different nicknames on his visit to India.
During his appearance on BBC Asian Network, the American singer was asked about Indian paparazzi addressing him with different nicknames at the Ambanis event. The host even played the audio for Nick that showed desi photographers calling him 'Ae Nickwa'. When the host teased Jonas asking if she can call him 'Jiju', the singer laughed and said 'sure'. Nick then explained, “A lot of people call me Jiju. We were just in Mumbai recently, my wife and I for the Cultural Center the Ambanis opened and it was a great event. All the photographers on the red carpet were calling me Jiju.”
Further talking about Paps 'Ae Nickwa' comment, Nick added, “Yes, I did hear that. It was very good to be back and I love India. It's been a couple of years since I was there. So this was a fun trip. Meanwhile, the power couple arrived hand-in-hand at the NMACC event and hogged all the limelight with their sizzling chemistry. Nick-Priyanka made a style statement in designer outfits. While the desi girl wore designer Amit Aggarwal’s custom thigh-high slit outfit, Nick complimented her in blue velvet jacket paired with a dark blue shirt and pants. The couple was seen adorably looking into each other's eyes and giggling while posing together.
