Sacred Games 2 Promotes Hinduphobic Content Says Shiv Sena Member, Files Complaint Against Netflix
The online streaming platform Netflix is in trouble once again as Ramesh Solanki, a Hindu activist and a member of the IT cell of political party Shiv Sena, has filed a complained against Netflix for promoting Hinduphobic content and defaming them by showing Hindus and India in a bad light in their original shows like Sacred Games, Leila, Ghoul and Hasan Minhaj’s The Patriot Act. According to a report in DNA, Solanki has accused the streaming platform of trying to paint an incorrect picture of Hindus and India globally.

While speaking to DNA, Ramesh Solanki confirmed having filed the complained against Netflix at LT Marg police station on Tuesday evening. "A copy along with a CD for video evidence will be submitted to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, the Commissioner of Police and the Cyber Cell tomorrow. Almost every series on Netflix India is with the intention to defame Hindus. They are putting out content that's portraying our nation in a bad light and it's being done in the name of freedom of expression," said Solanki. In the complaint written by Solanki, he alleged that Sacred Games shows Hindu responsible for all crimes happening in the world, even US killings. Similar allegations have been made against the famous series Leila and Ghoul and as for the Patriot Act, he claims that Hasan Minhaj is trying to spread propaganda over the repeal of Article 370.

However, Netflix has not replied or commented on the complaint filed against it. Even earlier Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin starrer Sacred Games became the target for the controversial kada scene and BJP spokesperson Tajinder Bagga also filed a police complaint against Anurag Kashyap for hurting religious sentiments by showing a controversial scene in the series.
