In a time when brides chose to wear traditional Indian attires for their pre-wedding ceremonies, Isha Ambani had opted for a gown by a renowned international designer. She looked mesmerising as pictures of her ensemble took the internet by storm. The metallic silver sleeveless gown had a cowl neck along with a drape that extended to the back of her dress. The custom-made dress also featured intricate crystals and sequin work. She completed her look with a diamond studded necklace, with a big emerald locket and solitaire earrings. In an interview with Vogue, she had opened up about her choice of clothing when she goes to work. She had in-length spoken about how she prefers to wear cotton kurtas instead of business formals. Isha said, “At work, I love wearing Indian clothes... cotton kurtas with block prints. I think it's one of the greatest things about being Indian—our clothes! I used to hate dressing up in business formals during my time in America. It was a nightmare to get into a blazer. It works well for slim bodies, but how do you wear a pencil skirt if you have a curvy body?”
For the unversed, after getting married to Anand Piramal in a lavish ceremony in 2018, Isha embraced motherhood in 2022. She had made it to the headline, when she returned to India with her babies for her brother Anant Ambani’s engagement ceremony to Radhika Merchant.
