South superstar Prabhas has reportedly demanded high fees for the upcoming film 'Adipurush' and this has increased the film’s budget by 25 percent
Prabhas has become a well-known name not only in the South film industry but also in pan India. His fandom has increased from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. The Saaho actor is chased by many directors for the high-budget films. Record-breaking movies like ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ and ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ have been the game-changer for Prabhas. Both the ventures took his career sky high and made him an Indian superstar.
The Baahubali actor has now come into the league of highest-paid actors in India. A source informed Bollywood Life that Prabhas has asked the makers of the film 'Adipurush' for a hike in the fees. Earlier he charged between 90 to 100 crores for the film, but now he asked for the whopping price of 120 crores. Yes, you read that right! And, his huge fee has increased the overall budget of the film by 25 percent. The earlier budget of the film was around 500 crores, making the film one of the most expensive films in India. The Rebel Star asked for this massive amount despite his last film Radhe Shyam’s failure. But one thing is sure the actor is going to give a smashing hit.
For the unversed, Adipurush is an Indian Hindu mythological drama based on the epic Ramayana directed by Om Raut and most probably the release is scheduled for January 12, 2023, in 3D. Kriti Sanon will be playing the female lead in the film. Prabhas will be seen essaying the role of Raghava. Saif Ali Khan plays Lankesh. The film is going to be shot in Hindi and Telugu languages simultaneously.
