ADHM-Shivaay War: Ajay Devgn Says KRK Is Lying
The actor’s reaction comes after Kamaal R Khan denied having taken money from Karan Johar to promote Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and trash Shivaay
Barely a couple of hours after Kamaal R Khan refuted allegations of taking money from Karan Johar to promote Ae Dil Hai Mushkil -- and badmouth Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay -- the Singham actor lashed out against him.
A statement released by Ajay a short while ago reads: “We have only made you aware of what KRK has said. KRK is contradicting himself in explanations about what he has said in the recording and what we all have just heard in his postured press conference.”
“He has not denied that it was his voice in the recording and he is now making excuses and contradicting himself. Where is the sanity here? You have heard what I have heard. It is upto you all to decide. Its his word against his own word. I have never in my life spoken to nor met this man.”
Ajay was referring to the press meet held by KRK early this evening. Addressing the media, KRK said he was joking about KJo having paid him to promote ADHM and ridicule Shivaay.
However, he added in the same breath: “Maine kab kaha ki main film promotion ke liye paisa nahi leta? Meri website hai... khairaat khana nahin khol rakha. Maine kayi filmon ko promote kiya hai. Kisi se 10 lakh liye, kisi se 15 lakh. Aur jin filmon ka maine promotion kiya hai, unka main review nahin karta.”
KRK also turned the situation around and attacked Ajay and his business partner Kumar Mangat. “It was Kumar who asked me to favour Shivaay and trash ADHM. Ajay is using me in his battle against KJo,” he claimed.
Meanwhile, Vikram Bhatt, who had threatened to initiate legal proceedings against KRK for defamation, called him a joker. When asked about the controversy, he said: “That KRK is a joker. Kapil (Sharma) jaise entertainment karte hai ussi tarha ye bhi ek entertainment ka hissa hain.”
