Mahek Chahal shoots for Kavach on crutches

Mahek Chahal, who recently suffered a serious knee injury, is not resting it out at home.
SpotboyE saw the actress shooting for her latest TV show, Kavach, in a Mumbai studio yesterday.
Mahek, who has been part of the entertainment industry for around 15 years, has not had too many outings and it looks like she doesn’t want to take any chance -- especially when the show in question is a biggie by TV czarina Ekta Kapoor.
Though reeling from excruciating pain, the former Bigg Boss contestant completed the shoot using a crutch and some strong painkillers.
The wedding sequence being shot, we were told, was a crucial one. It showed evil spirit Manjulika (Mahek) possessing the bride, Pari (Mona SIngh). Both actresses were dressed in identical wedding lehengas, jewellery and make-up. The only ‘difference’ was Mahek’s crutch, which she hid underneath her costume.
Though Mahek was not comfortable using a single crutch, she had no option as a second one would have been exposed on camera. Using a dupe was also out of question, as the sequence required a lot of close-up shots.
Earlier, Mahek had taken a week off to recuperate, but she decided not to extend it despite being extremely unwell.
