In a recently held mega launch, it was announced that a total of seven Bollywood films including Ajay Devgn starrer Bhuj: The Pride of India will release on OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar. Apart from the Ajay Devgn, and Sanjay Dutt starrer, films like Laxmmi Bomb, Sadak 2, Dil Bechara, Big Bull, Khuda Hafiz and Lootcase will also have a digital release. Now, after it was reported that Akshay Kumar’s Laxmmi Bomb was sold for Rs 125 crore, as per latest reports, the Ajay Devgn starrer Bhuj: The Pride Of India was also sold for over Rs 100 Crore.
According to a latest report in Pinkvilla.com, a source close to the development revealed that Ajay Devgn’s film Bhuj: The Pride of India sold online for a whopping Rs 112 crore. The news comes after it was reported that Akshay Kumar’s Laxmmi Bomb sold for Rs 125 crore. The report states that the deal with Disney+ Hotstar was cracked by Ajay Devgn along with producers Bhushan Kumar, Vajir Singh and others. After Ajay Devgn’s Bhuj: The Pride of India was sold for Rs 112 crore, it makes the film the second highest earning one to have a digital release this year.
Moving on, as Bhuj: The Pride of India was sold for a whopping price, the report also stated that an anonymous trade analyst revealed that if the film was to have a theatrical release, it had prospects to earn a little more for the producers. But as per the trade analyst, the producers have cracked a great deal given the pandemic situation in the country.
