Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, Box-Office, Day 3: Rise Registered Again But Acid Test Begins Now

So far so good for this Sonam-Anil-Rajkummar-Juhi-Regina flick but an equivalent collection needs to be sustained in the coming days

Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, Box-Office, Day 3: Rise Registered Again But Acid Test Begins Now
In what seems to be a decent jump again, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga has hit Rs 13.53 Cr in 3 days, its collection on Sunday being Rs 5.58 Cr. Day 2 was Rs 4.65 Cr, which was a 30 per cent rise over Day 1.  The real test begins today, whether the film sustains on working days or not. Naturally the collections expected at Vidhu Vinod Chiopra's office were higher than the ones which have been registered- but then it just shows that India is still far off from understanding that homosexuality is not a taboo/crime.

SpotboyE.com rate the film 3.5 stars. I think it's a pretty nice film especially the second half, while yes it did take a long time to come to the point. Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Regina Cassandra have put their best foot forward and one would like this Shelly Chopra Dhar offering to run smoothly in the coming days. Juhi Chawla (seen with Anil Kapoor on-screen after 19 years) does well, but I found her role quite short. Wish she had a meatier role.

Yesterday, we brought you an EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW with Sonam and Anil, we reproduce it below for those who missed it. Ditto for the Review, Box-Office Day 1 and Box-Office Day 2.

More on Ek Ladki... star-cast's performance. As stated in my review: Anil, like always, is brimming with energy which translates into correct emotions almost all the time. Watch him in the scene when he sees his on-screen and off-screen daughter Sonam caged and crying for help (Shelly reserves this scene, easily the best of the whole lot, for the last). Sonam is very easy to the eyes and comes up with a very classy exhibition whenever talking about her preferences, kudos to her for accepting such a role (bet some mainstream heroines would have chickened out). Rajkummar Rao, my common sense says, does little to no rehearsals; he is so natural.Regina Cassandra, the vibrant partner in the relationship, is cast perfectly. This girl is a beautiful face not easy to forget.
