Mission Mangal Box-Office Collections First Weekend: Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan's Spacecraft Is Set To Enter The 100 Crore Club
Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan's Mission Mangal will soon become the latest entrant in the Rs. 100 crore club
Mission Mangal which released on August 15 is raking in moolahs at the box-office. After starting on a fantastic note on an opening day, the only thing the movie was supposed to do was to maintain a strong grip on the following days and to show a healthy jump on Sunday and well, that is what exactly happened on its first weekend.
Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha starrer collected Rs. 27.54 crore, taking its grand total to Rs. 97.56 crore at the domestic markets. With this latest trend, the film is set to make its way to Rs. 100 crore club on day 5, despite clashing it Batla House, which is quite an impressive achievement. Now all the eyes are on day 5 as the film is just inches away to score a century at the Indian box-office markets.
Mission Mangal is Akshay Kumar's biggest opener till date. Well, this is how it goes, Mission Mangal- Rs. 97.56 crore (Thu-Sun), second is his and Rajinikanth's 2.0 Hindi version collected Rs. 95 crore (Thu-Sun) and the third film is his and Parineeti Chopra's Kesari which raked in Rs. 78.07 crore (Thu-Sun) at the box-office.

Watch him in the scenes with the antagonist Dalip Tahil. Watch how he treats his second-in-command Vidya and you will have a lump in your throat. Watch him how he fires Sonakshi. The list is long. And don't forget to note in this highly engaging film how Mr Kumar beautifully underplays himself!”

Helmed by Jagan Shakti, Mission Mangal also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi, Nithya Menen.
