Soorma Box-Office Collection, Day 2: Diljit Dosanjh-Taapsee Pannu’s Film Makes Rs 5.05 Crore, Positive Word Of Mouth Works

The trade had predicted that owing to great reviews and buzz surrounding Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu starrer Soorma, the collections are expected to shoot up during the weekend.

Well, that is exactly what happened. After an average collection of Rs 3. 25 crore on Day 1, the Sandeep Singh biopic has made Rs 5.05 crore on Day 2.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the film’s business and wrote, “#Soorma saw an UPWARD TREND on Day 2... Growth on Sat [vis-à-vis Fri]: 57.81%... Positive word of mouth is reflecting in the BO numbers... Sun biz expected to grow further... Fri 3.20 cr, Sat 5.05 cr. Total: ₹ 8.25 cr. India biz.”

SpotboyE Editor, Vickey Lalwani rated the film 3 stars and was impressed with the work Shaad Ali has put together with fine talents like Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu. He said, "For those who thought after Kill Dil and OK Jaanu that Shaad Ali is over the hill, this one is for you. This Mani Ratnam protege touches your heart this time almost as much as he did with Saathiya.
