Total Dhamaal, Weekend Box-Office Collection: Ajay Devgn-Madhuri Dixit-Anil Kapoor’s Comedy Swiftly Crosses The 50 Crore Mark
Unbelievable but true! Indra Kumar’s Total Dhamaal is literally creating dhamaal at ticket windows. Sunday has been even better for the Ajay Devgn-Madhuri Dixit-Anil Kapoor starrer. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has shared day 3 numbers and they are a whopping Rs 25.50 crore- summing the film’s weekend collection to Rs 62.40 crore.

Taking to Twitter, Taran writes, “#TotalDhamaal hits the ball out of the park... Swims past ₹ 60 cr... Word of mouth came into play on Day 1 itself... Terrific in mass circuits... Big growth at metros/plexes [Day 2 and 3]... Fri 16.50 cr, Sat 20.40 cr, Sun 25.50 cr. Total: ₹ 62.40 cr. India biz.”

The film has not only crossed the 50 crore mark in just 3 days but is showing a rapid growth with each day. Although the critics have slammed the film and not really enjoyed the comedy drama, but with the collections it’s rather clear that the film has won hearts of the masses. SpotboyE.com Editor Vickey Lalwani rated the film 1.5 stars and was highly disappointed with the film in many aspects. He had a lot of questions to ask, "Did Indra Kumar really make Beta, Dil and Raja? Is he not in sync with times? Hasn't he lost his touch as well? Did Anil Kapoor really have to do this film? Was it some old comittment to Indra? Ditto for Ajay Devgn. Did Madhuri Dixit ever apply so much pancake? Did she really enjoy forcing out those Marathi lines? Has Madhuri hammed so much in any film?"

Nonetheless, look like it’s a hit among masses and the film is garnering big moolahs. It’s also registered the second highest opening of 2019- first being Gully Boy but let’s also take in account the fact that Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt’s film released on Valentine’s Day, giving an edge to its first day collection.
