Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has a habit of putting his foot in his mouth, with his controversial statements and tweets. Recently, he invited the wrath of netizens for his ‘cook fish for Bengalis’ remark at a rally ahead of Gujarat elections. While a complaint has been filed against him for ‘trying to provoke riots’, Bengali actor Ritwick Chakraborty too has shared his take on the entire ordeal.

In a video that he posted on his Instagram and Facebook accounts, Chakraborty can be seen using a puppet to get his point across. In the witty ventriloquism video that has now gone viral, he mocked the veteran. He captioned the post, roughly translated from Bengali, “Puppets (Doll) outside of hands… Parshe and Bowal (names of fish.)” He even called the actor Pareshe Bowal. But what will happen if Rohingya migrants and Bangladeshis start living around you, like in Delhi? What will you do with gas cylinders? Cook fish for the Bengalis?” His statement did not go down well with the netizens.

If reports are to be believed he was summoned by Kolkata Police for his comment. As reported by ANI, the Sanju actor has been asked to appear at the Taltala Police Station on December 12 over the matter. This comes after CPI (M) leader Mohammad Salim filed a police complaint against the actor.
