Article 370 Revoked In Jammu And Kashmir: Sidharth Malhotra’s Shershaah Remains Unaffected By Recent Developments In The Valley
Sidharth Malhotra has been busy shooting in Kashmir for his upcoming film based on Captain Vikram Batra titled Shershaah. As the actor is all set to play the Indian Army officer on-screen, the sudden news of the revoking of Article 370 in the state of Jammu and Kashmir has left the country in shock and the valley in complete lockdown for precautionary measures. As Shershaah is currently being filmed in the region, the abolishment of Article 370 has heard some severe opposition in Kashmir. Unaffected by the surrounding, a report reveals that Sidharth Malhotra’s schedule of Shershaah is still on and the actor will soon return to Mumbai.

Sidharth Malhotra has two films lined up and the actor has been busy since quite some time. Before flying to Kashmir for the shoot of Shershaah, the actor was spotted promoting his film Jabariya Jodi with co-star Parineeti Chopra that will release this week. Sidharth recently flew to Kashmir for the shooting schedule of Shershaah happening in Kargil before the revoking of Article 370. According to a report in Pinkvilla, the producer of the film revealed that the shoot is unaffected by the sudden change made by the government in the J&K region. The producer Shabbir Boxwala went on to say, "We are shooting in Kargil and over here it’s very peaceful and people are all excited that first time a Bollywood film is being shot here. They are very cooperative and there is no panic; it's all speculation. The Army is giving us full support." The producer of Shershaah with this statement put down the talk in the industry regarding the shooting schedule of the film in Kashmir.

The Article 370 that has been revoked by the government earlier allowed the state to have its own constitution, a separate flag, and independence over all matters except foreign affairs, defense, and communications. The state of Jammu and Kashmir will now also be carved into two Union territories.
