Girish Kumar Discloses His Marital Status After HIDING It For a year!

What all one does for his career? Here’s a perfect example- Girish Kumar Taurani who has admitted of keeping his marriage under wraps so that it doesn’t affect his career.
Girish made his Bollywood debut with the Prabhudheva-directed love story, Ramaiya Vastavaiya starring Shruti Haasan, in 2013. His last film was Loveshhudha, which released on February 19, 2016. But it’s not his career which is creating a buzz at the moment. In fact, it’s his hidden marriage to childhood love Krsna which has brought back Girish in limelight.
Well yes, the couple is all set to ring in their first wedding anniversary on February 11. They had a traditional Sindhi wedding in Jodhpur. For their Honeymoon they chose Europe as their destination.
Almost after a year, Girish opened up about his marriage to a leading daily and admitted that he purposely kept his marriage as a secret because his career was still at a budding stage and he didn’t want a change in relationship status to affect his professional life.
“Krsna and I were childhood friends and schoolmates. We started dating in our teens and in 2007, realised this was serious and for keeps. Krsna was a little apprehensive but she understood my need to safeguard my film’s interests. But now I want share her with the world and declare my love for her officially.”
On the other hand, Krsna came across as more than understanding about Girish’s decision and was completely in awe of her hubby, “I wore a 14 kg lehenga designed by Manish Malhotra for my wedding and Girish couldn’t take his eyes off me. He even made the pandit wait in the mandap so I could drink some coffee since I’d been busy with rituals all day and not found the time to eat anything. These little things are so romantic.”
And how did Girish propose to her? Well, it was not the typical. “He hadn’t even showered and proposed to me in a night suit. I was working on my laptop and he suddenly went down on his knees.”
Well, we’re happy for Girish and his wife! A little late( not our fault) but congratulations to the couple!
