If you thought this man can just flawlessly act, dance and entertain anywhere and everywhere, wait till you hear Ranveer Singh's latest offering from Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy. He really has mastered the act of rapping and how. Here's the new song from Alia Bhatt-Ranveer Singh starrer titled Mere Gully Mein.
All the songs from the film have been composed by Rappers Divine and Naezy. This one starts with Ranveer jamming with his co-star, Siddhant Chaturvedi and then goes in a fantasy sequence where the duo is taking their 'Gully' on a rapping spree. Watch the video below:
Ranveer is evidently quite kicked about rapping as an art form. He is very fond of Divine. In fact, in an earlier interview with Mans World, Ranveer had spoken about Divine, and told the magazine, “Divine is an amazing guy. He is one of my favourite artists. He (Divine) is an amazingly humble, grounded person who I love spending time with, and love collaborating with for music. He’s contributed to much to this film. I love his song and I’m really obsessed with it — ‘One Side,’ even ‘Meri Gully Mein,’ (and) ‘Jungli Sher.'”
He further added, “This entire experience — shooting music videos, rap battles, writing the music, being in the studio, making music — plus collaborating with Zoya Akhtar has been great. She’s really one of the most special filmmakers in the world, not just in our country."
Well, the songs and the trailer look extremely promising. Alia has also received a lot of accolades for what she unveils in the trailer. In fact, her dialogue, "Mar Jayega Tu" has taken the meme world by storm. So, how excited are you to see Gully Boy?
