International Dance Day 2021: Alaya F On Learning The Art Form, “I Honestly Cannot Imagine My Life Without Dance’-EXCLUSIVE
Alaya F is just one film old in the industry. As Tia, a pregnant daughter on a hunt for her own father, in Jawaani Jaaneman with Saif Ali Khan and Tabu, she stole a lot of hearts and gathered immense praise from the industry. Even though the Coronavirus situation may have dampened the speed of her film career, her learning continued and so did her social media engagement with her fans. In an otherwise dazzling Instagram profile, what speaks the most about Alaya is her continuous work on her dancing skills and her love for the craft. Today, on the occasion of International Dance Day, the actress talks about her love for the art form.

“Everyone knows that I wasn't a very good dancer at first but then I did a lot of dance classes, went through a lot of dance teachers and found the correct ones. I learnt different dance forms and now, I honestly cannot imagine my life without dance,” she asserts, crediting all her learnings to her dance teacher Dimple Kotecha. “She was so patient and persistent with me,” she asserts. Be it a contemporary routine on Kalank’s title track or her multiple hip-hop routines that she has mastered, Alaya’s love for dance has just grown over this period and her fans have been witness to that. “I have done extensive training in many dance forms and I keep growing. From Kathak to Contemporary, Hip-Hop and Bollywood, I have tried to learn them all. They always seem difficult in the start, but I always end up falling in love with each dance form,” she informs. Dance is not just a skill for Alaya that she wants to acquire and master. It’s way more than that for her. “Many times, when I don’t feel like working out, I just dance to relieve stress or cover for my work out for the day in a room with no cooling. With so many years of learning and following the hobby, it has definitely become a crucial part of my life and I really enjoy it a lot,” she concludes.
