Irrfan Khan's Hospitalisation: Doctors Suggested The Actor's Family To Issue A Statement- EXCLUSIVE
The topic, besides COVID-19, on the Internet in India, is Irrfan Khan's health. It was floating in WhatsApp groups since last night that the Piku actor has been hospitalised. Industry and journalists, since then, were (and still are) extremely concerned. Several phone calls were made to people close to Irrfan, including his wife- but no answers were received until AajTak broke the news, obviously they reached reliable sources from the hospital or someone from Irrfan's family and friend circle. Such news should never be put out without confirmation. Sunte toh hum bahut kuch hain, subah se raat tak!

So, the hospital in question is Kokilaben Ambani at Andheri (West) and now I have it confirmed that Irrfan has been there around the time his mother Saeeda Begum passed away in Jaipur on Saturday.

There's one more confirmed piece of news that has come my way. It were a few doctors at the hospital who advised Irrfan's family to put out a statement. Several doctors of Kokila had been flooded with calls and in today's stressful times of COVID-19, are themselves under deep stress. 

The official spokesperson's statement read:  “Yes it is true that Irrfan khan is admitted to ICU at Kokilaben in Mumbai because of a colon infection. We would keep everyone updated. He is under doctor’s observation. His strength and courage have helped him battle and fight so far and we are sure with his tremendous willpower and prayers of all his well wishers, he will recover soon”.

Moreover,  too much speculation and questioning was happening on those calls regarding the actor's health and it was only fitting that the right information was provided.

So, this was brought this to Irrfan's family's notice and they did what was suggested to them.



Yet another thing that I have learned confirmed is that this hospitalisation, as per his present state of health, could not be avoided as the colon infection in question had to be treated in hospital premises only. I am also told that Irrfan has had a couple of small, minor infections in the past, few months prior to this.

Irrfan's spokesperson, when contacted on this, chose to not respond.

Irrfan is suffering from neuroendocrine cancer. He did speak to a few media persons during the time of Angrezi Medium, saying that he's feeling better. I and everyone out here at SpotboyE.com is praying for his recovery and hope he is discharged from the hospital, soon.
