Kangana Ranaut And Rajkummar Rao starrer Mental Hai Kya is grabbing eyeballs ever since it’s posters hit the social media. The film’s trailer launch event was also cancelled as psychiatric society and Deepika Padukone's NGO had questioned the title of the film. They had said that the title encourages everyone who uses 'mental' as a derogatory term. Not only, this, since its beginning, the film also made headlines for its big clash with Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30.
Soon after Doctors raised questions on Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming
film, Kangana went on to meet the CBFC’s members and further revealed that the
film will be released with minor cuts and the title of the film will also be
changed. Now, if latest reports are anything to go by, they suggest that
Rajkummar Rao and Kangana Ranaut starrer Mental Hai Kya is likely to be renamed
as Judgemental Hai Kya. Yes, you heard that right!
A source close to the development told Bombay Times, “The
session went on for almost five hours. The film was cleared by the CBFC with a
U/A certificate after minor changes and almost no cuts. There will be a change
in title as the CBFC thought that it was a bit too harsh. The makers were open
to suggestions and were happy to cooperate, given the sensitivity of the term.
The new title will be unveiled by the production house very soon, but we hear
that it will most likely be renamed Judgemental Hai Kya.”
